We are in a time where the ability to maintain or increase value creation and competitiveness is challenged by a global need for transformation. It forces many businesses to make important decisions in relation to the ability to be competitive and relevant over time.

The ISO 55000 series contains practices and principles that can be applied broadly in relation to types of businesses, assets, organizations and cultures. We take a closer look at what application of the ISO 55000 series can provide in terms of opportunities to increase value creation, competitiveness and robustness in relation to transformation. Relevant experience from operation, maintenance and life extension of offshore oil production facilities will be used as examples of practices and principles included in the ISO 55000 series.
