About EndNote

It can be challenging to keep track of the literature you use of in your studies and research. It is not always easy to know how to display your in-text citations correctly in your work, or what the requirements are for a complete and correct reference list. EndNote is a tool that can help you with this. EndNote is used at most universities and colleges.

Classes and support in EndNote

If you wish to use EndNote, you should attend an introductory workshop at the University Library. By attending the workshop, you will learn the skills needed to use EndNote efficiently.

The University library offers workshops and support in EndNote. During the semester we offer introduction classes that are open to students and staff at UiS, both in English and Norwegian. Lecturers at UiS can book classes in EndNote.

We offer classes in EndNote Desktop and EndNote Online. EndNote Desktop is a software which you download to your computer. EndNote Online is a simplified version of EndNote Desktop. We recommend using EndNote Online if you are a bachelor-student or lower.

Both versions can be used together. If you are using EndNote Desktop, we recommend creating a user for EndNote Online as well.

Read more about the differences between the two.

Download EndNote

To start using EndNote you must first download and install the software.
