Introduction to open research and data management
This class is for those of you who are wondering what open research, or open science is, and how it affects your day-to-day work as a researcher. What is actually considered research data, and what guidelines apply? In this class you can learn more about managing research data from beginning to end, and the advantages this brings. There will also be an opportunity to discuss practical challenges with other participants.

- Basic principles of managing and sharing research data:
- Planning
- Organising, documentation and storing
- Sharing and archiving
- How to find relevant research data
- The FAIR principles - Guidelines and mandates from UiS and funders
