KIS is a student organisation for those who study Environmental Chemistry, Biological Chemistry (bachelor), Biological Chemistry (master) or Environmental Engineering. Our philosophy is that a safe and social environment leads to an easier and better everyday student life. To build this environment, we regularly arrange large and small events, which can be anything from our regular Waffle Tuesdays and quiz nights, to larger gatherings in collaboration with other student organisations. We also go on an annually cabin trip with the entire student organisation, and we believe that fresh air, activities and group tasks lead to many new friendships. The collaboration with other student organisations also leads to the opportunity to make acquaintances and learn from fellow students across the campus.

We priorities members first, and the board does its best to create the best possible environment and events for our members. The vast majority of our events are completely free and membership with us only costs a one-off sum of NOK 150. This membership gives you access to study rooms (Kjølv Egeland's house room E-120), old exam archives, free coffee and tea every day at KIS, and the opportunity to join our events. And a promise that there will always be someone you can turn to and ask, no matter what you're wondering. We hope you choose to become a member, and join the KIS adventure!
