Hui Cheng defends his PhD dissertation on dynamic analysis of aquaculture structures.
On Wednesday 25 May 2022, Hui Cheng, PhD-candidate with the Faculty of Science and Technology, will be defending his dissertation for the degree of PhD (philosophiae doctor) at the University of Stavanger.
Hui Cheng will be defending the thesis: Development of Advanced Numerical Tools for Dynamic Analysis of Aquaculture Structures.
The thesis comprehensively investigates dynamic responses of different marine aquaculture structures, including traditional fish cages, grid moored fish farms and a large semi-submersible aquaculture structure, under the action of currents and waves.
Cheng will hold a trial lecture with the title "Environmental impact of aquaculture and resulting technological measures and innovations to promote sustainability in fish farming”.
