Physician specialised in anaesthesiology with more than 15 years clinical experience as a prehospital critical care physician in Norwegian Air Ambulance and Search and Rescue.
PhD in patient safety and risk management from 2010 titled "Risk management in critical care medicine as a tool to improve patient safety". 
Main research interest and activity in prehospital patient safety focusing on competence and safety in advanced critical care skills. 
Main contributor in the development of the masters program in Prehospital Critical Care and the Bachelor of Paramedic at the University of Stavanger. 
Full professor in prehospital critical care since 2019.
