We investigate and develop advanced methods based on AI and machine learning techniques for different applications in energy and petroleum engineering by bringing together the long-term domain knowledge and hands-on expertise from methods’ deployment.

Due to digital transformation in energy and petroleum industry, a lot of sensors are installed to monitor, and control operations and equipment involved. Therefore, large amounts of data carrying useful information are available and need to be processed, which can hardly be dealt with, using conventional approaches. AI and machine learning techniques offer reliable solutions to transform data into valuable knowledge that can be applied in various stages of the life cycle to improve performance, reduce costs and pollutions.
