Introduction to Research Data Management Planning

Are you unsure of how to manage your data well in order to comply with data management requirements from UiS and (if applicable) external funders? In this workshop, we will discuss what a data management plan is and what the benefits are. We will look at how to plan for data sharing or secure management of sensitive data. You will get the opportunity to start on your own data management plan.   

After the course you should: 

• Know what a data management plan is 

• Be familiar with the benefits of having your own data management plan 

• Know how to create a data management plan 

• Be familiar with templates and tools available 

• Be familiar with UiS and funder requirements and guidelines 

• Have started on your own plan
