Natural wind is constantly changing in both time and space and can set long-span bridges into motion. This lecture explores how optical wind measurements can contribute to more detailed knowledge of local wind conditions. This knowledge is important for designing wind-sensitive structures more safely and for improved utilization of wind power resources.
The talk will be given by Professor Jasna Bogunovic Jakobsen, who has worked with wind engineering for more than three decades. She serves on Standard Norway’s committee for Loads on Structures, where she is responsible for the wind load standard, and is a board member of the Norwegian Association for Wind Engineering.

The event is free of charge, register to eat breakfast with us.

Breakfast is served from 09.00 and the talk begins at 09.15.
