In this course we will look at how you can share your data by archiving them in appropriate repositories according to the FAIR principles.

Institutions, funders and publishers are increasingly requiring sharing of research data.

The idea is to enable transparency and validation in research and making it possible to build upon previous work through reuse.

After the course you should: 

  • Know the benefits of data sharing and archiving 
  • Be familiar with the FAIR principles 
  • Be familiar with different routes to data sharing 
  • Know how to prepare for data sharing 
  • Be able to recognise when data sharing is not recommended 
  • Be familiar with UiS and funder requirements and guidelines
