Leadwork Norway is a research project that tracks the development of leadership and working life in Norway over time.
The project examines how working life in Norway is changing and provides knowledge that can strengthen inclusion, motivation, and performance in both the private and public sectors.
Leadwork Norway is a national, long-term study of working life in Norway. Through five rounds of surveys, it maps developments in leadership, work environment, health, behavior, technology use, and remote work. The study provides insights that can contribute to a more sustainable, healthy, and productive working life.
The project is led by Professor Espen Olsen at the UiS School of Business and Law and delivers knowledge that supports the development of a sustainable, healthy, and productive working life.

Project Objectives
- Monitor the relationships between job characteristics, health, motivation, and performance among Norwegian workers.
- Examine the impact of remote work, digitalization, and new technologies on leadership, collaboration, and various outcomes (health and performance).
- Analyze long-term patterns in health, engagement, and behavior.
- Contribute to evidence-based knowledge about working life in Norway.
