Throughout the year of 2025, the centre contributed to a total of 175 publications and dissemination activities, among these 39 academic journal articles, 111 conference contributions, and 18 media contributions. In addition, four PhD candidates were awarded the degree of Philosophiae Doctor and the centre was recognized as an Ambassador for the Stavanger Region. A key milestone was the submission of an application for Centre of Excellence (SFF).

Management perspectives
2025 has been a somewhat different year for our center, however, through strong collaborations and a shared commitment, we have managed to reach an important milestone with the submission of our Centre of Excellence (SFF) application. This marks a significant strategic step for our long-term development and scientific ambitions and reflects the collective effort across the center. At the same time, our large-scale projects have continued to progress well, with important deliverables achieved, dissemination activities distributed across the world, new collaborators integrated and research articles produced. Overall, this year’s work reflects the core of our center — that SHARing is caring — and that involvement across levels and stakeholders is the esscence of a supportive and well-functioning team.
We would like to thank all members and partners for their valuable contributions throughout the year and extend a warm welcome to all new PhD candidates who have joined us.

About SHARE – Centre for Resilience in Healthcare
The Centre for Resilience in Healthcare (SHARE) is currently one of eight research centres at the University of Stavanger (UiS). The Centre was established in 2017 at the Faculty of Health Sciences. Together with the national partners at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Gjøvik (NTNU Gjøvik) and Oslo University Hospital it constitutes Norway’s largest research group studying quality and safety in healthcare.
SHARE is a multidisciplinary Centre with over 70 researchers affiliated including nurses, medical doctors, psychologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapist, lawyers, sociologist, engineers, radiographers, and safety scientists.
The Centre’s main pillar is the solid base of PhD scholars conducting research in areas such as interdisciplinary teamwork, co-production, involvement, telecare, regulation, evaluation of improvement measures, and analysis of healthcare processes. Many of the PhD scholars apply a resilience perspective to their research topics. Currently, SHARE has 30 ongoing PhD projects.
SHARE’s revenue is based on two components: basic funding from the University of Stavanger and reallocated overhead funds from externally funded research projects affiliated with SHARE. Read about the centre's financial status.
