An overview of the opening hours of UiS buildings.
Campus buildings are open from 7:30 am – 6 pm. To gain access to the 24-hour library or building outside opening hours (06:00 and 07:30, 18:00 and 22:30 or on weekends), proceed as follows: Send an email to drift@uis.no, from your UiS student email (for example abcde1234@uis.no) with your full name and mobile number. Write Access in the subject line. This applies to both digital access (app) and physical student cards. You will receive further information by email. You only need a physical student card if you want access to laboratories and special rooms, or if you are studying at the Faculty of Performing Arts on Campus Bjergsted. At 11 pm the buildings alarms are switched on. The university library is not alarmed, and is open 24/7. Students studying at other universites and colleges can register their student card with to gain access to campus buildings and the university library after 6 pm.
