Børsklubben UiS is a studentorganization for stock- and finance interested students at the University of Stavanger. The organization aims to promote interest around the stock exchange and finance, as well as creating a community among its members. Børsklubben aims to: - Create interest and convey knowledge about stock and finance. - Maintain a learning arena that evolves around these subjects. - Create a social arena for everyone interested in finance. The students in Børsklubben, are working actively to create engagement and interest, and make it easier for «the average student» across all fields of study to see the opportunities the stock market provides. To do this we aim to make basic lectures and courses about the Stockmarket in cooperation with the finance community around us. In addition to this, we started an investment company called Studentkapital AS which promotes «learning by doing». In this environment the students get the opportunity to do the analysis, create recommendations and invest real money in the market. We are also visible on stands at campus, and create at least three major events each semester held at campus.
