At UiS, our InGenious program is rooted in innovation and sustainability in education, to prepare students for a future with a focus on the green shift.

Uniquely designed program
The InGenious program is a unique offer that equips students for the challenges and opportunities of the future of work, and is a clear example of work-relevant education with a strong focus on sustainability and the application of knowledge in practice. The program combines professional, intra- and co-curricular activities in collaboration with industry, including case studies, seminars, workshops, company visits, and mentoring.
Through a holistic approach, students develop both academic and interdisciplinary competence as well as key skills for the labour market of the future. Collaboration with external actors provides relevant learning experiences and insight into real challenges, and helps to promote innovation, sustainable thinking and professional development.
The future of work: developing talent and skills
Through the InGenious program, students develop practical skills and relevant experience that prepare them for the future of work and meet the changing needs of the industry, with a particular emphasis on sustainability. The programme strengthens the link between academia and working life by giving the industry access to fresh talent, new perspectives and knowledgeable students and academics at UiS. At the same time, the business community will have an active role in shaping and further developing the learning process in close collaboration with academia. This ensures a work-relevant and future-oriented education that educates candidates who are equipped to support and lead the green transition.
