Content

The course will give the candidate a professional specialisation within a chosen topic within Biological Chemistry at PhD level. This could be, for example, specialising in an instrument, or within a relevant subject area. The curriculum is set to match the research area of the PhD project together with the candidates supervisors and course leader.

Learning outcome

After completing the course, the student shall have sufficiently detailed knowledge of the topic to be at the research front within the field, and will be able to perform thorough research and development within the specific topic.

8 hours of project work per week. There are no ordinary lectures in this course; each student will receive independent supervision from the selected supervisor.

Course assessment

There must be an early dialogue between the course coordinator, the student representative and the students. The purpose is feedback from the students for changes and adjustments in the course for the current semester.In addition, a digital course evaluation must be carried out at least every three years. Its purpose is to gather the students experiences with the course.
