Content
Historical Theory and Practice examines the principles and assumptions underlying different forms of history. The course introduces students to debates about the discipline and considers their implications for practice. Students reflect on the current state of the discipline by critically evaluating the changing intellectual contexts that have shaped how historians work.

Attendance 75%, Reflective Journal, Individual presentation
- 75% attendance
- reflective journal submit in Canvas before each lecture (10 in total)
- 1 individual presentation of the week’s topic
If an assignment is assessed as not approved, the student will be given one further opportunity to submit a revised assignment

Course assessment
There must be an early dialogue between the course coordinator, the student representative and the students. The purpose is feedback from the students for changes and adjustments in the course for the current semester.In addition, a digital course evaluation must be carried out at least every three years. Its purpose is to gather the students experiences with the course.
