Content
Basic concepts and techniques in reliability analysis are introduced. Themes covered in the course are among others: The probability theoretical foundation for risk and reliability analyses. Calculation of system reliability for binary and multi-state systems. Optimization of reliability and maintenance strategies. Statistical analysis of reliability data for both repairable and non-repairable systems. Introduction to different methods for analysis of reliability data.
Learning outcome
Knowledge: After ended course the student will have knowledge about basic methods and the theory behind commonly used techniques in reliability analysis.
Skills: Be able to develop relevant expressions and apply basic theory; concepts, Methods/techniques and models in reliability analysis.
General competence: Basic understanding of reliability theory and applications
