Erasmus+ Exchange outside the European Union

It is possible to receive Erasmus+ grants for mobility outside the European Union.

Published Updated on

International mobility within the Erasmus+ program enables sending students on exchange to partner countries that are not included in the Erasmus+ program countries. There must be a dedicated International Dimension agreement in place between the two institutions.

UiS has the following prioritization for the allocation of international dimension grants:

  1. Institutions in the United Kingdom with whom UiS has an Erasmus+ International Dimension agreement
  2. Partners outside Europe in the ECIU university network and partners with whom UiS has Erasmus+ Global Mobility projects.

Please note that students eligible for Erasmus+ International Dimension grants will receive confirmation of whether they will receive a grant after their exchange application has been processed.

Students who are awarded the Erasmus+ grant through the International Dimension will receive EUR 410-700 per month, depending on their destination. The grant will be paid at the same exchange rate as the regular Erasmus+ grant.
