Get the latest updates on AI at the University of Stavanger
Artificial intelligence is changing the conditions under which we work, in teaching, research, innovation, and administration. This new wave of technology is already affecting all staff members. The groundwork has been laid for a coordinated institutional response, and we now invite all employees to an open information session on the implications of AI, how we can adapt, and the measures being planned.
The meeting will provide a concise introduction to why UiS is taking AI seriously, the opportunities and challenges the technology brings, and how we plan to organize our response.

Programme
Three representatives from the Strategic AI Committee will each give a short presentation:

John Magnus Furseth Kallevik: Developing internal guidelines for responsible AI use
Petter Mordt: Plans for an Open AI Forum
The presentations will be followed by an open session for comments, questions, and discussion. We want this to be an engaging conversation, not just a one-way flow of information. Your voice, experiences, and perspectives are an important part of the work ahead.
For Staff
The meeting is open to all UiS employees, regardless of academic background or previous experience with AI. All you need is a little curiosity.
