Welcome to a low-key dating show where students pitch their single friends in front of an audience.

All through December, students shared their deepest wishes by hanging small notes on the Christmas tree in the middle of the university library. The wishes were clear, most dreamed of good grades and a partner.

The university library already supports students through their studies, and now, for the very first time, it also wants to help in the search for love.
The show will take place at the student bar Tappetårnet.
Be part of something new
Pitch-a-Friend is a global concept and a low-key dating show where students pitch their single friends in front of an audience. Each participant gets 3–5 minutes to show pictures and explain why their friend is a catch.
Do you have a single friend who deserves to meet someone? Or are you just curious about a fun and different kind of event?
Then you should join when Pitch-a-Friend is hosted for the first time in Stavanger.
It's all about lifting each other up in a positive way. It’s a low-key, friendly, and inclusive event - and maybe you’ll get to know students across different fields and communities a little better.
How it works:
- If you want to pitch a single friend, fill out our form. You’ll be contacted by a university library staff member who will guide you through the process.
- Create a short and creative presentation
- Share what makes your friend great and what they’re looking for in a partner
- The audience listens, mingles, and maybe meets someone new
The event is free and open to all students in Stavanger.
No registration needed for the audience - just show up!
