Formal deadlines
Non-calendar-based deadlines
- The deadline for withdrawal from exams is usually 14 days before the date of the exam (7 days for resit exams).
- The deadline for withdrawing from bachelor's or master's theses is no later than four weeks before the submission deadline. An earlier deadline may apply for theses that involve costly work (for example, laboratory exercises).
1 September:
- Deadline for semester registration for the autumn semester
- Deadline for the payment of semester fee for the autumn semester
- Deadline for application for individual accomodations in exams in the autumn semester
- Deadline for application to study abroad in the following spring semester
20 January:

Pets on campus
The guidelines for pet ownership at the University of Stavanger are designed to meet cleanliness standards and address allergy concerns among staff and students.
Bringing pets into campus buildings is not permitted. This restriction is in place out of consideration for individuals with allergies and aims to support a healthy and inclusive physical work environment for all students and staff.
Exceptions are made for individuals with special needs (e.g., guide dogs).
