All students at UiS are assigned a username and must create a password in order to use UiS's IT services.

Only students with a Norwegian BankID can activate their user account with the link below. All other student must use the link provided in the email from UiS with the activation link.
If you forgot or want to change your password you can create a new password via https://konto.uis.no/en/
Passwords are created when you activate your IT account.
All services at UiS use the same password.
Password requirements:
Contain at least 16 characters
Contain 1 of the following requirements:
Uppercase letter
Number
Special character (e.g., #!"&%@)
Not be the same as one of your six most recently used passwords
Not contain part of your name or username
Your account will be closed when you no longer have active student status at UiS. You will receive an email 14 days before your account is closed, giving you the opportunity to extend access for 180 days.
