Bøker & Beats - Jazz consert in the library

Engkarse is a quartet consisting of jazz students at the University of Stavanger (UiS), with roots in Nordic jazz. But what exactly is Nordic jazz? What do we hear, and how is it expressed in our own country?

Starting from playful improvisation and with a focus on the overall interplay, Engkarse explores these questions through their music. The quartet emphasizes sound, dynamics, and interaction, where the expression is shaped in the meeting between the musicians.
