Sustainable Waste to Energy: SEAS presents EU projects, CARBIOW Conference and internships.

Arild Refsland and Roger Larsen from Svaaheia Eiendom (SEAS) will talk about the driving ideas behind the Svaaheia Business Park and what opportunities it gives for both for companies, researchers and students.

The seminar will take place at UiS in room KE C-285 Wednesday April 17th at 13:15. The meeting will last about one hour, but SEAS will be available after the meeting for further questions and conversations.

SEAS is a private company, owned by three local municipalities in the South-West of Norway. SEAS is entrusted by its owners to commercially develop and maintain active ownership of municipal land areas, which led to the creation of Svaaheia Business Park.

Through the process of developing a business park, and project collaboration with organizations all across Europe, SEAS has developed unique competencies and insights in the fields of industrial research and innovation, project commercialization, and sustainable business development.

At this event, SEAS will provide insights into ongoing projects, share details on summer internships for students and the upcoming CARBIOW Conference, and showcase how a strategic approach to EU funding schemes created a hotspot for research and innovation.

About the spakers:

Arild Refsland
As the CEO of SEAS, Arild Refsland leads the development of Svaaheia Business Park. With decades of experience from the oil and gas sector, Arild utilizes his expertise in engineering, project management and organizational development to establish a sustainable research and innovation hub at Svaaheia.

Roger Larsen:
Roger Larsen is a member of the advisory team at SEAS. Utilizing his professional and academic experience in market engagement, strategic communication, and sustainable business development, Roger leads the development and implementation of creative and market-oriented strategies.
