The government is extending the grant scheme for Ukrainian students in Norway. Ukrainian students who were already in Norway before the war started can continue to receive a subsistence grant for the next academic year.

Students applying for grants must be able to document that the war in Ukraine and / or financial sanctions prevent them from gaining access to sufficient funds to continue their studies in Norway. The institutions are administering these measures. UiS students who may be entitled to this grant have been contacted by the university.

Students who qualify for the grant will be paid up to NOK 11,500 per month from March to August. PhD fellows are paid up to NOK 21,000. Read more about the financial support (regjeringen.no –).

Please contact Studentweb-hjelp@uis.no if you find yourself qualified for the grant. The deadline to apply for the grant is October 10, 2022.
