Information about the university
Located in the nation’s capital, the University of Nicosia is a global educational centre with 20% of its 5,000 students coming from abroad, representing over 60 different countries in a multicultural learning environment that promotes friendship, cooperation and understanding. UNIC has a well- developed urban campus divided in 6 schools.
UiS has 2 Erasmus agreements with the University of Nicosia:
- for nursing students (bachelor level B-SYKEPL) who can take their practical training in Cypriot hospitals
- for students at the Faculty of Science and Technology within Petroleum studies.
Cyprus has two official languages: Greek and Turkish but proficiency in English is high. According to the Eurobarometer, 76% of people of Cyprus can speak English.

English proficiency recommended at minimum B2 level (read intermediate level = 4 in English from "vgs" for Norwegian students).

Sykepleierstudenter må ta med egne uniformer til Nicosia.
Vennligst vær oppmerksom på informasjonen om obligatoriske vaksiner (hepatitt B og MMR). UNIC krever også en negativ Mantoux-test (ikke eldre enn seks måneder). I Norge er Mantoux-testen erstattet av blodprøven IGRA (Interferon-Gamma Release Assay).
