Promoting the Wellbeing of Toddlers’ within Europe

Different approaches used by each partner country to promote the wellbeing of toddlers are investigated in a child-centred way.

Each partner has defined the concept of wellbeing and how this is interpreted in their educational approach, identifying the strategies for enhancing and supporting the wellbeing of toddlers. Teaching materials have been produced providing examples of good practice through photographs and case studies, enabling comparison of provision for wellbeing in relation to UNICEF’s "Child poverty in perspective: an overview of child well being in rich countries" (UNICEF, 2007).

Knowledge gained through these examples of good practice will enable early years’ practitioners, teachers and students to reflect on the complexity of wellbeing across the EU and explore how they can develop their practice to meet the needs of the children in their care.
