Kingston University is based on 4 campuses in Kingston upon Thames consisting of 7 faculties with over 21,000 students. The School of Education is rated 2nd in the UK (Guardian League Table for Education 2010) and the Early Years team offers: · 3 work-based foundation degrees delivered by 9 partner Colleges, for students employed in early year’s settings to help them gain a level 5 by combining workplace learning with part-time study.
They are sector endorsed through the Sector Endorsed Foundation Degrees in Early Years. · BA (honours) in Early Years Education and Childcare or Early Years Teaching. · Early Years Professional Status for the CWDC for practitioners with a level 6 qualification in Early Years. The EYPS forms part of the government's drive towards a more professional childcare workforce.
The Institute for Child Centred Interprofessional Practice has been developed to enable different professions to work together more effectively in the interest of the children.
