This annual conference series focuses on improved understanding of the modern financial system, with an eye towards understanding crises and decision making in the face of extreme events. The conference contains both theoretical and empirical research. The common theme is that the research papers all develop and apply techniques to analyze markets during tumultuous economic periods.
