Two national centres of expertise with national responsibility for research and dissemination in reading research and learning environment & behavioural research are also based in the Faculty of Arts and Education. Faculty researchers are organized in programme areas for research.

All programmes include opportunities for international exchange. Undergraduate and post-graduate programmes include opportunities for study and placement mobility, and doctoral programmes include opportunities for course and fieldwork abroad.
