Modes of action of environmental contaminants

On March 28th, Professor Schlenk from UC Riverside presented his research and expert tips in environmental science.

Professor Daniel Schlenk presents his research Professor Daniel Schlenk presenting his research during a seminar at CORE, in Måltidets Hus.

Daniel Schlenk, Ph.D., is Professor of Aquatic Ecotoxicology and Environmental Toxicology at the University of California Riverside. While on a visit with his collaborator, Associate Professor Daniela Pampanin, Professor Schlenk shared his research on the modes of action of environmental contaminants.

He presented his work, ‘Use of microRNA and mRNA analyses to identify novel modes of action of environmental contaminants to early life stage fish’.

Professor Schlenk is also an Associate Editor of Environmental Science & Technology and Environmental Science & Technology Letters (ACS Publications). He talked a bit about how to publish in ES&T and ES&T letters and gave valuable tips for scientific publishing and reviewing.
