Onozaka has received her PhD from University of California, Davis (USA), with specializations in environmental economics and econometrics. She has been employed at UiS from 2008. Her research focuses on investigating the behavior of economic agents (e.g., consumers, producers, firms) and how they interact in the market—how do individual agents make decisions and what are the collective implications from these decisions to the society. Specific areas of research applications include eco-labels and green market, food choices, seafood market, labor market, and innovation.
