Opening hours are Monday to Friday at 10 am to 3 pm. The library is open to everyone. You can book your reading area in TimeEdit. The Data Lab and the 3D-lab is closed.
Borrowing and return
Search for the materials you want to borrow in Oria, find it in the library and use our self-service machine to borrow.
Use Oria to request books that are not available in the library. You will be notified when the books are ready to be collected from our pick up shelf in the library.
In Oria you can request materials that we don’t have access to, and we will order it from other libraries.
Many libraries are still closed, so there might be limitations to what we can provide.
Because of the corona situation requests may take longer to process.
You can return books in the library during our opening hours, or in a return box by the entrance to KE-house. The return box is available 24/7.
We are sending out reminders for overdue loans, but we are still not charging overdue fines.
Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are having issues with returning borrowed materials.
Digital help desk
If you need guidance, we can help you at our digital help desk on Zoom until June 19, or contact us by email.
If you are a master student or an employee at UiS you can borrow a librarian for digital guidance.
The Study Labs venues are still closed, but student mentors from the Study Lab are available to give guidance in academic writing. Click here to read more the guidance services we offer.
