Browzine is your new journal shelf

Browzine is a new service from the library, which provides an overview of journals that are relevant to follow.

Browzine is a service that provides a complete overview of all journals the library subscribes to. You can search for journals by title or subject, and add the ones you are interested in into your own digital bookshelf. You will then be notified when new issues from these journals are released. You can save articles you are interested in as a PDF, and export references to EndNote.

A feature coming soon is setting up reading lists. It will be possible to set up a list of articles, and share it with others. This can be useful when setting up curriculum lists.

Browzine is free for students and staff at the UIS, and is supposed to include all journals that the library give access to. It may be that some titles will be missing in the beginning. Please let us know if you can't find any specific journals.

Browzine can be used on both PC and Ma, and the app can be downloaded on mobile devices that use Apple or Android. The synchronization between tablet and mobile phone goes quick and easy, and before Christmas a bookshelf function will also be present in the PC version.

We plan to come out at the departments with information to staff on how to download and use Browzine, but already now the application can be used. It is quite simple and easy to use, so many of you will probably be able to figure out how it works on your own. Contact the library if you have any questions, we will help you.

A vast number of universities both in Norway and abroad have adopted Browzine already. and the feedback has been very good. This is the new way to keep up to date!
