The library extends its opening hours!

Good news to all students and staff at UiS: From the 1st of April you can visit the library on Ullandhaug from 7.30 in the morning and stay there until 9 pm! The first 100 people to arrive in the library the first day will get free breakfast!

In recent years, the library has had a couple of user surveys, and many users have expressed a need for longer opening hours. Many students wanted to stay longer in the library than has been possible up to now. We have risen to the challenge, and hope many students and employees will take advantage of the increased access to our facilities and resources! During the day you'll get help and guidance from library staff, while in the evenings student assistants operate the library.

Open at Sundays
After 1st of April, the library will for the first time also be open on Sundays. Due to extended opening hours on weekends, the library will be open from 10 to 16 both Saturday and Sunday.

Free breakfast to the first 100!
To celebrate this historic event, we will hand out breakfast to the first 100 who visit the library on the 1st of April. In other words, you should arrive well before 7.30 onthis day.

New opening hours at Ullandhaug:
