The file will be imported to our institutional repository, UiS Brage. This will not constitute much extra work. Archiving in Brage helps you disseminate your research and can only be advantageous where all conditions are met.
The only thing you have to do is upload the file when you are in CRIStin. Here’s how to do it:
1) Register your academic article the regualr way.
2) Click on “Deliver full-text document”
3) Choose “Postprint” and add the PDF.
From here the file will automatically be forwarded to Brage, and you don’t have to do anything. Note that it will only be available to the repository manager, and will not be made open access until all permissions have been checked and obtained. You do NOT need to contact the publisher or any co-authors to obtain permission, the library staff will do that.
Many researchers have already signed a contract with the library, granting permission to upload articles without us having to contact you every time. If you haven’t already signed a contract, you can download it here.
Here is a contract for uploading just a single article if you prefer. We will not upload anything without a signed contract.
These contracts have been developed in collaboration with the legal experts at the university to make sure they are legal.
A signed contract can be sent to Linda Johnsen (firstname.lastname@example.org).
