Interdisciplinary research collaborations – possibilities and challenges
Working life and society is facing many challenges so complex that people from different professional areas must cooperate to find new solutions. Interdisciplinary research and research environments are considered crucial when it comes to solving societal challenges, such as these. Even though there is consensus in the significance of interdisciplinarity, it is often proven challenging to implement it. The University of Stavanger however, has several examples of successful interdisciplinary collaborations, one of these collaborations is The Synapse Lab.
Mari Rege (UiS Business School) and Oddny Judith Solheim (Norwegian Reading Centre) will share their experiences and reflect over possibilities and challenges when it comes to interdisciplinary collaboration at this Researcher breakfast.
