Nelly works at the Department of Innovation and Societal Engagement (Innovasjonsavdelingen) at the University of Stavanger. Her primary responsibility is to develop, coordinate, and facilitate InGenious. Also, she holds a challenge coordinator position in Challenge Based Learning (CBL) approach in ECIU. She collaborates in teaching for Business model lean canvas, Pitch techniques, and Sustainable business subjects.
She studied entrepreneurship at Haas School of Business -University of California, Berkeley and holds two MSc. degrees, in Energy, Environment and Society, and in Management, both from the University of Stavanger.
She was a project manager in Shiraz for four years. She also worked as an analyst in San Francisco and a Sustainability advisor in Stavanger.
In October 2019, in Our Ocean 2019, the most important global event about the ocean, she has been selected as a sustainable ocean leader based on her research project on modeling sustainable innovation in aquaculture.
Between March – April 2020, she has been selected as a mentor at Hack the crisis Norway Hackathon, Jury and panelboard member at EU vs. Virus Pan – European Hackathon.
Her research interest lies in the field of sustainable innovation, innovation and entrepreneurship, and societal engagement in learning process.
