Bio

I investigate the unexplored, trying to move forward the frontier of our understanding in cosmology, astronomy and particle physics. I do it by analysing the data collected by gravitational wave and particle physics colliders, and interpreting them by means of the modern tools that theoretical physics provides.

My main research lines are triggered by the following questions:
- Why do we see more matter than antimatter in the universe ?
- What did it happen in the first instants of the universe ?
- Have we discovered all the fundamental particles that exist ?

I am also supporting ESA and NASA, via the LISA Consortium, to build the first gravitational wave detector. This detector, called LISA (Laser Interferometer Space Antenna), will be launched into space in the early '30s. I, together with other scientists located all over the world, prepare the LISA mission with the gaol of boosting its chances to detect signals coming from the early universe and make groundbreaking discoveries in cosmology and astrophysics.
