Hassan Gholami is an Associate Professor at the University of Stavanger, with a commitment to educating and guiding students in the field of city and regional planning. Possessing over a decade of experience in renewable energy and power engineering, his primary focus centres on solar energy systems, particularly in the planning, design, and optimization of solar power solutions.

At present, Hassan Gholami is a consultant in Multiconsult's solar and smart grid section. With over a decade of hands-on experience in the renewable energy and power market, he actively participates in various advisory activities, such as feasibility assessments, due diligence, business development, planning, design, yield assessments, procurement, engineering, construction supervision, commissioning, and project management. His expertise spans the entire spectrum of Solar PV applications, from off-grid systems to large-scale utility power plants.

At the University of Stavanger, he contributes his knowledge to the City and Regional Planning Group within the Department of Safety, Economics, and Planning. Here, he focuses on engaging students through dynamic lectures that emphasize the integration of solar energy in urban environments. He provides students with insights into the practical applications and potential challenges of utilizing solar energy technologies in city settings. Moreover, he is also involved in mentoring and guiding master's students in their research journeys, particularly in the domains of solar energy and smart grid technologies. Additionally, he takes an active role in various solar energy projects within the UiS community, driving forward technological innovations and sustainable energy solutions, and his expertise is applied to enhance project outcomes and contribute to the development of efficient and eco-friendly solar energy systems.
