Iryna is an Associate Professor of Political Sciences in the Scholar at Risk program at the Department of Media and Social Sciences. Before coming to Stavanger, she worked as an Associate Professor of Political Sciences/Scholar at Risk Fellow at the Department of Political Science and Management at the University of Agder in Kristiansand, where she was working on the research about Digital transformation in Ukraine and EU integration. At the University of Stavanger, she conducts research on sustainable development and digital transformation: creating a skilled workforce for the post-war green reconstruction of Ukraine, approved by the Norwegian Agency for Shared Services in Education and Research (Sikt).

She is a member of Ukrainett - a network of researchers and experts in Norway with interest in and knowledge about Ukraine, also she is a member of Working Group “Democracy, Institutions, Digitalization & Anti-Corruption“ in the Hromada network - Nordic-Baltic knowledge network For the rebuilding of Ukraine.

Digitalization and information technology, municipalities development, public administration, sustainability education, change management processes, international economic relations, international finance.
