Jeg har en Ph.D. i idrettsvitenskap fra Norges idrettshøgskole og min nåværende stilling er førsteamanuensis ved Universitetet i Stavanger. Før jeg begynte å jobbe ved Universitetet i Stavanger var jeg forsker og vitenskapelig assistent ved Norges Idrettshøgskole (Oslo, Norge), universitetslektor ved Prince Sultan University i Saudi-Arabia,  forsker og vitenskapelig assistent ved Olympiatoppen (Oslo, Norge), og Ph.D. kandidat ved Norges idrettshøgskole, Institutt for fysisk prestasjonsevne (Oslo, Norge).
