Repertoar og formidling II (BDA755)

In this subject, the student gets the opportunity to further develop his knowledge from Communication I. In Communication II, the student works with scenic works where improvisation knowledge is central. The course will develop the student to become independent in his understanding and exercise of the role of performer. Furthermore, it is natural that the student develops a broader understanding of different performative processes. Like Communication I, the course is mainly organized in blocks, where selected choreographers work with the students towards a performance situation. In working with choreographic works, the student gets the opportunity to reflect on his own knowledge as a performer and to use tools from other subjects. In this subject, the student must be able to describe himself as a practitioner and have an understanding of how tradition, identity and renewal are important factors in the development of practitioner knowledge. The subject will prepare the student for what it is like to work as a performing dancer in a professional context and the subjects in the different years have a natural progression.
