The candidate:
- Have thorough knowledge of philosophy of science, health care ethics and scientific methodology
- Has advanced knowledge within prehospital critical care, and specialized insight in a limited area
- Can explain advanced medical equipment and critically evaluate the medical equipment's strength and limitations
- Can critically appraise quality improvements systems related to advanced prehospital emergency care
- Can critically appraise the different operational management strategies used in the management of mass casualty and major incidents, both in a national and international context
Skills
The candidate:
- Can analyze existing theories, methods and interpretations in prehospital critical care and work independently on practical and theoretical problems
- Can analyze the strengths and weaknesses of multi-organizational work environments, specifically in relation to management, communication and teamwork
- Perform advanced inter- and intraprofessional crisis management related to major incidents and disasters
- Design and execute an independent research and development project in accordance with applicable norms for research
General Competence
The candidate:
- Can analyze relevant academic, professional and research problems
- Can communicate extensive independent work and masters language and terminology of prehospital critical care
- Can apply his/her knowledge and skills in new areas in order to carry out advanced assignments and projects
