Hvorfor et utenlandsopphold?
Fakultetet tilstreber bevisst et høyt internasjonalt nivå for å speile den yrkesmessige virkeligheten kandidatene kommer ut i etter endt studium. Den internasjonale profilen til fakultetet er helt nødvendig for å kunne fungere i harmoni med europeisk høyere musikkutdanning, musikkforskning, faglig og kunstnerisk utviklingsarbeid. Primært skal studenten ved utenlandsoppholdet oppnå en personlig utvikling som utøvende og medskapende kunstner. Et internasjonalt semester skal gi studenten mulighet til videre fordypning i forhold til det opprinnelige studiet ved UiS, men skal også gi muligheter for individuell spesialisering.

Ordning for utvekslingen
Studenter kan søke om utvekslingsplass ved en av UKs mange partnerinstitusjoner med tanke på et delstudium i utlandet. Studenten må selv kvalitetssikre hvordan tilbudet fra vertsinstitusjonen egner seg sammen med sin egen progresjon og planlagte løp.

Krav for å reise på utveksling: Søkeren må ha fått opptak på studiet videreutdanning ved Fakultet for utøvende kunstfag før utvekslingssemesteret.

Studenter på videreutdanningsprogrammer kan dessverre ikke motta Erasmus+-stipend.

Søknadsprosess
Fristen for å gi UiS beskjed om at man ønsker å reise på utveksling i påfølgende studieår er 1. februar. Fristen er lik enten man skal reise på utveksling høst- eller vårsemester. Dette søker man om gjennom Digital studentekspedisjon.

Hver student kan sette opp to (2) institusjoner en ønsker å reise til og vil bli nominert til begge disse. De ulike mottakeruniversitetene har ulike søknadsprosedyrer, som man må gjøre seg kjent med. Mange av UiS sine partnere innenfor utøvende kunstfag benytter EASY som online-søknadsverktøy.

I tilfeller hvor vi har mottatt flere søkere enn det er tilgjengelige plasser, kan partneruniversitetene i utlandet be UiS om å rangere søkerne. Dersom UiS blir bedt om å rangere søkerne, vil dette bli gjort på et faglig grunnlag. Antall søkere til det enkelte partneruniversitet vil derfor ha innvirkning på sjansen til å få på plass på ønsket studiested.

Både søknader gjennom EASY og andre søknadsportaler skal inneholde en rekke vedlegg. Det kan være ulike krav ved ulike institusjoner, men som oftest kreves følgende:

  • Video hvor du spiller ditt instrument
  • Motivasjonsbrev
  • Anbefalingsbrev fra hovedinstrumentlærer
  • Kunstnerisk CV
  • Karakterutskrift på engelsk (bestill på StudentWeb i god tid)
  • Learning Agreement - HVIS de spør om det. En læringsavtale skal uansett skrives senere, dersom man får tilbud om plass

Orienter deg nøye på institusjonenes hjemmesider for å se om de har egne bestemmelser angående søknadsprosessen og søknadsfrister. Disse har du som student ansvar for å følge opp.
