Jagiellonian University in Cracow

Information about the university

Cracow is one of the most culturally and politically significant cities in Poland. Jagiellonian University is composed of 16 faculties. The University is a large higher education institution with about 44.000 students and the campus of the Jagiellonian University is centrally located within the city of Cracow.

UiS has an Erasmus agreement with the Jagiellonian University within Arts and Education, for students of the Department of Cultural Studies and Languages.
NB: Only applicable for Bachelor students.

Language requirements

English proficiency recommended at minimum B2 level.

Description of proficiency levels according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

Students who do not meet the language requirements will be offered online language courses prior the exchange period.

GPA requirements

No GPA requirements.

Total number of exchange places

3 divided between Bachelor students in Nordic, English and History studies.

Tuition fee

Student doing exchange within Erasmus+ are exempted from tuition fees.


Erasmus+ or EEA scholarship in combination with loan and grant from Lånekassen for eligible students.

Autumn semester: October-February

Spring semester: End of February-late June

The number of places in student dormitories is limited, therefore you should apply for a place as soon as possible. Please note that you cannot apply before you have receive the acceptance letter from the University.

Information about accomodation


Norwegian students do not need to apply for visa when travelling inside of Europe. Students who do not hold Norwegian citizenship must check if they need to apply for Visa themselves.
