Jiangsu University of Science and Technology (JUST) is a national university, located in the eastern central coastal province of China, Nanjing is the capital in the province. Jiangsu has a high concentration of hill and water landscapes, gardens, scenic historic sites, and cities of cultural interest and has become a major tourist attraction. The province has a population of 79,986,000 (2016) and ranks the 1stamong all provinces according to its per capital GDP, overall competitiveness, regional development and life index.
Jiangsu University of Science and Technology (JUST) has a history dating back to the year of 1866 when the Fujian Shipping and Polity School was founded. There are around 25, 600 full time students. JUST offers study programs in the fields of: Engineering, Science, Management, Economics, Education, Literature, Art and History. The university offers also a range of programs in English.
University of Stavanger (UiS) and JUST have an exchange agreement. The agreement is open for 3 students one semester, a total of 15 students during a five year period. Exchange periodis one semester. Students at the MA in Marine and Offshore Technology have first priority.

If the exchange semester ends later than the following semester starts at UiS, the institute / faculty (in collaboration with the partner institution) will assist you so you are not delayed in your studies.There are various possibilities for facilitation: you might take courses that do not require you to be present during the examination period, you might be exempted from compulsory teaching at UiS or you might be given an extended deadline for submission of bachelor's and master's theses. Contact your study coordinator at the department for more information.

Credits abroad
Study points in China is different from Norway. More and more universities have a system for credits and study points, but there is not one common national system. A master program in JUST is normally 2.5 years. The number of teaching hours corresponding to one credit in JUST.
Preapproval of courses needs to be done on indivual basis.
For most master programs 15 credits at Jiangsu University of Technolgy = 30 Ects/studypoints.
Accommodation
JUST would assist with housing for International students.
The on-campus accommodation condition is 2 students sharing one room with bathroom, heater and air conditioner. The accommodation fee for each student is RMB 2300 per semester (water and electricity charge not included).
