Sciences Po Toulouse

The Institute of Political Science in Toulouse ('Science Po Toulouse') is an autonomous higher education and research establishment within one of the older universities in Europe. Go on exchange to the beautiful city of Toulouse and strenghten your language skills in French!

Information about the university

The city of Toulouse is located in the beautiful region of Midi-Pyrenees. Students can enjoy pulsating city life style and still be able to reach the Pyrenees Mountains in a few hours drive.

Sciences Po Toulouse is a small institution but has continuously grown in size and prestige, and now welcomes just over 1,700 students. It welcomes nearly 200 international students each year. The main feature of the Sciences Po model is that it has an interdisciplinary approach to excellence in education focusing on topics such as History, Law, Economic sciences, Sociology, Political Science, and International Relations.

UiS has an Erasmus+ agreement with Science Po Toulouse for students at the department of media and Social science (IMS)

Language of instruction

English or French.

Language requirements

English and/or French proficiency recommended at minimum B2 proficiency level (read upper-intermediate ) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students who do not meet the language requirements will be offered online language courses prior the exchange period.

GPA requirements

No requirements regarding grades.

Tuition fee

Students going on exchange within the Erasmus+-programme are excempted from tuition fees.

Scholarship

Erasmus+-grant in combination with loan and grant from Lånekassenfor eligible students.

The University offers courses for autumn and spring semesters in two different programs:

Certificate in Political Studies(requires French proficiency at B2/C1 level)

Accommodation

Sciences Po Toulouse always tries its best to allocate a room to students coming on exchange, but this is not always possible due to high demand. You may have to turn to the private market. For more information, please see here.

Visa

Norwegian students do not need to apply for visa when travelling to Europe. Students who do not hold a Norwegian citizenship must check if they need to apply for a visa to France.
