The Science Week is a national, annual festival where research activities are transformed into practical demonstrations for the public. The 2017 event lasts from 20th September to 1st October, in cooperation with the Norwegian Research Council and more than 200 local organizers nationwide.
This year’s theme is ‘Values’.
In Stavanger 14 organizations involved in research are together in arranging the Science Week of Stavanger. We have 15 different events during these days, and we involve about 50 researchers.
Research Square in Stavanger
On 23 September the Science Week in Stavanger hosts a research square in Stavanger. You can see, touch, taste, do simple experiments and learn about the research in our region.
So if you are curious by nature and intereseting in science, you should visit the Research Square at Saturday September 23rd from 11.00–15.00.
Both children and adults will have the opportunity to marvel about the many secrets of research.
The Food Trail at Ullandhaug
Join the Ullandhaug Food Trail for exciting food experiences from the Iron Age to modern day, exploring – and tasting – ancient and modern food. The «Food Trail» is part of the annual Science Week, and is open Sunday 24 September from 12.00–16.00.
